CL Announces Expanded Supported Employment Program

Community Living, Inc. is pleased to announce the expansion of their Supported Employment program. Emily Trinkle has been named the Program Director.  Emily is a trained and certified Employment Specialist in both Kentucky and Indiana, and all the staff in Community Living’s Supported Employment Program have been certified in the state of Kentucky.

Community Living is currently accepting applicants into the Supported Employment Program either through Vocational Rehabilitation or the SCL Waiver. Community Residential Supports

Staffed Residences – Community Living prides itself in offering private homes located in nice, safe communities. Our homes are clean, nicely furnished and comfortable – a place that each resident is proud to call home. There are no more than three individuals who reside in one home.

Our homes are staffed 24-hours each day, with trained, competent individuals who take pride in their work and create well-rounded, growth-oriented lives for their residents. We facilitate the participation of each resident in the life of their neighborhood and community. The agency currently supports seven staffed residences located throughout the Greater Louisville community.
Family Homes - Since the early 1980’s Community Living has relied on the caring and compassion of families, couples and single individuals, to open up their hearts and homes to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The family homes provide assistance with all aspects of daily living to individuals who become an integral member of the family. The agency currently support more than 15 family homes providing a home

Case Management

Case management is designed to assist the person and the person’s support network to identify, select, obtain, coordinate and use both paid and natural supports that are available to enhance the person’s independence, integration and productivity consistent with the person’s abilities and preferences.

We help supply essentials from medication (not covered by Medicaid) to eyeglasses to adaptive equipment.

We’d love to send more people to summer day-camps. We work hard to ensure that basic needs are met.
